(a) What is a ball and socket joint?
Answer: The rounded end of one bone fits into the cavity (hollow space) of the other bone is called ball and socket joint. Such a joint allows movements in all directions.
(b) Which of the skull bones are movable?
Answer: Lower jaw is the only movable bone of skull bone.
(c) Why can our elbow not move backwards?
Answer: Our elbow have hinge joint. Hinge prevents movement of elbow backward.
