1. Do you find that all living beings need the same kind of food?

Answer: No, the food requirement is different for all living beings. Therefore, depending on different food requirements, living beings are classified into 3 types herbivores, carnivores and omnivores.

  1. Herbivores – The animals that eat only plants are called herbivores. Some herbivores animals are sheep, deer, elephant, cow, panda,etc.
  2. Carnivores – The animals that eat other animals are called carnivores. Some carnivores animals are wolf, tiger, lion, frog, etc.
  3. Omnivores – The animals that eat both plants as well as animals are called omnivores. Some omnivores animals are chicken, crow, rat, etc.

2. Name five plants and their parts that we eat.

Answer: Carrot plant – Root, Papaya tree – Fruit, Corn – Seeds, Coriander plant – Leaves, Cabbage – Flower.
